The future generation is going to lack social skills because of all this technology. Of course the internet is handy and quick at communicating. However, face to face interactions are always more intimate and just a basic like skill. #lesson12

Even though Disney might portray a negative connotation and demonstrated stereotypical attributes to its story telling and characters; I do not think it will prevent children from watching their movies. Disney is so powerful. #lesson11

Disney and their products have such a huge influence on children and the way they play. The media does an outstanding job at marketing children through movies, video games and toys. #lesson11

I think Disney's racial/ethnic portrayals have changed over time. By trying to incorporate less stereotypes. However, stereotypical attributes are still demonstrated within the new characters.

@datniceguy1 Because to result in change you need to properly raise awareness. And if not everyone is devoted and willing to prompt this change, the awareness was not necessarily successful. #lesson11

@datniceguy1 I just don’t think that all it takes is to spread awareness. It takes action. You can spread the awareness however, if no one takes action to that awareness, you are left without change. #lesson11

@datniceguy1 Yes and no. Some children are very analytical and may pick up even small things without maybe fully grasping it as a whole. Yet, they will still see/understand pieces of the message. Ex: a poor coloured girl vs a white rich one. #lesson11

I think this lesson has to be one of my favourites by far. It was really interesting and opened my eyes to a lot of things I didn’t necessarily see on my own. Everyone brought of interesting points as well. #lesson11

@datniceguy1 I think this is something that will take A LOT of time to achieve. This type of issue has been problematic since the beginning of time. It will take a lot more than just raising awareness. And lots more time. #lesson11
