And this is why I miss the olden days of cable, because TBS might have this on and I could pick up right before the makeover scene and really lock in as if I’ve been watching from the beginning. And then the Mummy comes on right after.
“You’re charging me $180 for babysitting one night?”
The mother stared at the invoice.
“You agreed to $20 an hour.”
“I know. You watched the kids for nine hours.”
“That’s $180.”
“You never told me you were charging extra.”
“I’m not.”
She pointed at the bottom of the invoice.
“Then what’s this?”
“Three hours of overtime.”
“Overtime? You’re a babysitter, not my employee.”
The babysitter looked confused.
“I stayed three hours past the time you said you’d be home.”…
I’m at that weird age where every younger person I meet makes me realize how much l've aged, and every older person I meet makes me realize I'm still a baby.
I remember getting my 2nd holes in college. I was completely done after that for piercings because it’s a lot for healing. My 2nd hole closed up on my left ear and I’ve had an earring in the one on my right ear and I love the way it looks. I’m really considering adding some more.
A horse pulling a carriage in New York City’s Central Park collapsed and died Tuesday evening near Strawberry Fields, according to witnesses and animal welfare advocates. The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m., with the horse reportedly dying minutes after collapsing.
The death comes just days before supporters of Ryder’s Law are set to rally at City Hall in support of legislation that would phase out the city’s horse-drawn carriage industry. The bill is named after Ryder, a carriage horse that collapsed while working in Manhattan in 2022 and later died from his injuries.

One thing about adulthood that way too many people learn way too late (and have no choice but to learn the hard way): you have to be deliberate/proactive about everything. For the first time in your life, you can't be passive participant in anything.
