It took me two business days to let this sink in: “I prefer to participate in dynamics rooted in mutual priority, rather than circumstantial convenience. I'll have to decline ;)”
The wrong kind of woman will see your ghayrah as suffocating and controlling. The right kind of woman will see it as love and protection.
Choose wisely
To the people who stood by me at my lowest - Jazakallah khair. I'll always try not to forget you guys and if I did then Wallahi, your reward was/is never with me, but with Al-Wahhab. In my view, the greatest gift you can give someone is duʿa.
Let go of any "Liability" & "Dependency" around you. Don’t be a liability to anyone, don’t become one, and don’t depend too much on others. Good Luck*
Don’t entertain half friends. Have people who are all in and be one yourself. If they can’t be that, let them GO. In the end, what remains is real even if it’s just a FEW, or perhaps NO ONE :)
respectfully, i don’t go above and beyond for people anymore. I meet you as far as you meet me. I speak to you as much as you speak to me. I include you as much as you include me.
Two of the most powerful rhetorical questions in the Qur'an ; not just verses, but divine wake-up calls.
“Then which of the favours of your Lord will you deny?” (55:Repeated 31 times)
“So, where are you going?” (81:26)
I want you to Pause. Reflect. Really THINK.
Eid-Ul-Adha Mubarak to all those who sacrifice not just animals, but also their ego, pride, arrogance, hatred, jealousy, greed, lust, selfishness & everything that is haram - replacing them with love, faith, peace and humility.
Be cautious of "people" who call you "friend" only when it suits them - when they have time, when the benefits flow their way, when it's convenient for them, and when your presence exists only to serve their interests...
My Ustadh told me something one evening that completely shifted the way I viewed hardship.
We were talking about setbacks - missed opportunities, closed doors, things that just didn't go our way. Someone had just shared how they didn't get into a job they're really passionate about. You could see the weight in their voice. Disappointment laced every word.
That's when Ustadh said:
"You know the story of Musa and Khidr?"
We all nodded.
He said:
"Everyone loves the part where Khidr explains why he broke the boat, killed the boy, and rebuilt the wall. Because suddenly, the pain makes sense. The confusion becomes clarity. But do you realise something?"
He paused.
"Musa only got the explanation because it was a lesson. The people who owned the boat, the parents of that child, the town that rejected them-they never got told. They just had to live with what happened."
The room was quiet.
Then he said:
"Sometimes in life, you don't get the Khidr moment. You don't get to find out why something happened. You just get the qadr. The closed door. The loss. The silence. And your test is whether you can still trust Allah without needing the explanation."
He leaned forward and said:
"It's easy to have sabr when the story wraps up neatly. But the real test is:
Can you have tawakkul when you're still in the middle of the story?"
I remember sitting with those words long after the class ended.
Because we all wait for our Khidr moment, the point where everything makes sense. But sometimes, that moment doesn't come in this life. And still, we are asked to trust.
Even phone cameras are unable to capture the scene, due to the intensity of the flames and the speed and ferocity of the strikes. A never-ending hell, a scene as if the apocalypse had occurred. Gaza is being burned to the ground, the most violent strikes ever💔🇵🇸😭
Ramadan in today's world feels more like a "product" of CAPITALISM than a month of reflection. From lavish iftars to commercialized traditions, we’ve followed modernization more than the Sunnah. Is this the Ramadan the Prophet (ﷺ) taught us?
Idk who needs to hear this out. Perhaps this year a single action of that person you labeled as "Ramadan Muslim" will surpass all of the worship & good deeds you spent a life time doing, just because You thought, You were better than them!
