- Affordable doesn't mean cheap. Always fight the urge to buy "cheap". With "cheap", you always spend more.

- 30% of every pay check must go to savings. Another cut must go towards planned investments. EVERY PAY CHECK.

If your income cannot cater to this, then there are only 3 possibilities.

• You're currently a victim of impulse spending and desperately need a budget planner to plug your leaks.
• Your income inroads are narrow. You need to invest in skills to broaden the inroads.
• You're currently living directly within/ above your means. In your formative financial years, the correct equation is to consistently live below your means.
