Since taking office, our government has increased annual hospital support by over 50% — and we’re seeing results.
In 2025, the average wait time for a physician assessment in an emergency department decreased by 14%.
That means patients are getting the care they need, faster.
Yesterday at the Timmins and District Hospital, I was proud to announce that our government is investing more than $6.1M to strengthen health care right here in Timmins.
This includes $4.25M in base funding to improve hospital operations, reduce wait times and help more people get the care they need, faster. Along with $1.93M announced for critical repairs and upgrades to keep our hospital strong for the future.
Our government is delivering real investments that matter to Northern families because the people of Timmins deserve access to high-quality health care, close to home.

Ontario's investment in Project AMPLIFI has connected all 106 eligible hospitals to 100% of long‑term care homes in Ontario.
For patients, this means a more seamless care experience with faster and safer transfers between hospitals and long-term care.

Our government has nearly doubled our investments in home and community care.
That means delivering publicly funded home care to nearly 700,000 people - more than ever before.
Because the only thing better than having care close to home, is having care in your home.
