Thrilled to explore Easy Readers and share the knowledge I’ve been honing since serving on the 2018 Geisel Award- Thanks, @HornBook, for the opportunity!
From the March/April 2019 #HBMag: In her "New for New Readers" column entry, @sylvie_shaffer asks, "What IS an easy reader? Should we even call them that? And why are good ones so hard to find?" https://t.co/coJYiN6ziD
Hey @thegridkid one eats pomegranate ARILS, not seeds. I have been ranting about this with my wife for several minutes and now it’s escalated to online ranting. On this hellsite! But it’s ARILS and I must be pedantic about it. #nytimes#puzzles@NYTGames
I am grateful that my Oma & Opa were among the 10% of surviving German Jews, that my Bubbie was among the 7% surviving Lithuanian Jews, and my Zaidie was among the 10% surviving Polish Jews. #holocaustremembranceday#yomhashoah Graphic via Uri L’Tzedek
First time I heard 40oz was on the drive from Allston to Highgate to see Dylan & The Dead. Only studio album in handful of bootleg cassettes, which sound bad on shitty blown out speakers. Didn’t have a license so I sat bitch middle seat. Allston MA, 95 = ska. Loved it then, now.
@spooloflies@remreader93 also like they don't even warn you that it's covered in coconut flakes - they're not in the description! https://t.co/BdnrOWU2kQ
@KyleLukoff I hate this. We were so lucky to partner with some other area schools to host him for an author visit last year and he was unsurprisingly SO FANTASIC! Great speaker, had kids super engaged, and love his books, too. Ugh.
@spooloflies This is an incredibly important distinction- I would push even further than exceptionalizing Jews as victims endangers not only us, but other marginalized groups as well.
