Solidarity has warned that the latest remarks by the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Ronald Lamola, regarding South Africa’s relationship with Iran are not in the country’s national interest, but instead further undermine South Africa’s economic interests, international trade prospects and AGOA.
According to Jaco Kleynhans, Head of International Liaison at Solidarity, Lamola is mistaken in claiming that his approach places South Africa’s interests first.

Limpopo farmer Attie Mahne (77), an esteemed and well-known cattle farmer from Baltimore, was brutally murdered on his farm in December 2025.
Attie left the house around 16:00 to check on his cattle. While he was away, the savages broke into the house, tied up his wife Pietro Mahne, and ransacked the property. When Attie returned about an hour later, the intruders overpowered him at knifepoint, tied him up, and severely assaulted him.
Pietro managed to free herself and alerted the farm watch. Her husband was found unresponsive. Emergency Medical Services declared him dead at the scene, and Pietro was hospitalized after the traumatic ordeal.
Limpopo police arrested a 28-year-old suspect a few days later while a second suspect is still on the run.
Cowards who tie up defenseless women, ambush hardworking farmers, beat and stab them to death for a few items. The ANC government’s denial, their racist policies, and their failure to protect White farmers enable this ongoing slaughter.

Story credit: Johan Rossouw, 20 June 2026
Johan Rossouw says he had a bad experience with a traffic officer on the N1 outside Bloemfontein - Edenburg. He claims the officer stopped him, tried to “bribe” him, stole his ID card and drove off with it.
Rossouw said he received good service at Vanderbijlpark Police Station where he opened a case for theft and bribery. The case was transferred to Edenburg, and the video evidence was also sent through.
He adds that there’s been no feedback yet from Edenburg Police Station. Johan is warning other drivers to be careful on the N1 in the Bloemfontein - Edenburg area.
