Joined by MSMEs PS, @SusanAMangeni, we held a press briefing on the upcoming nationwide physical validation exercise for the @NYOTA_Kenya Project Business Support Component, scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, 24th October 2025, across all 290 constituencies. The @NYOTA_Kenya Project, a five-year Government of Kenya initiative funded by the World Bank, aims to empower vulnerable youth through job creation, entrepreneurship training, and sustainable income generation.
Under the Business Support Component, 100,000 youth entrepreneurs will receive training, mentorship, and start-up grants of KSh 50,000 each to launch or expand their businesses. The validation exercise will confirm the authenticity and eligibility of applicants, ensuring that only qualified youth benefit from the program. Applicants are required to carry their National ID cards, while Persons with Disabilities must present valid disability identification cards for verification.
All applicants must also complete the Entrepreneurship Aptitude Test (EAT) by sending the word NYOTA to 40270 before 12:00 p.m. on Friday, 24th October 2025.This exercise marks a significant milestone in empowering Kenya’s young people with practical tools for entrepreneurship, employment, and sustainable livelihoods, reaffirming the government’s commitment to inclusive economic growth and youth transformation.
