@neslikip No problem! I'm glad that you're curious about the process I hope it helps with your art 🥰 I would say I spend the first 20-30% of the time gathering ref and planning. It can be more depending on complexity or I'm not familiar with the subject and have less in my mental library.
@neslikip Oh I also tried blocking out the scene in 3D using blender for a some of them (a void cat one and all the puppeteer ones, etc.) which helped a lot with perspective!
@neslikip Then I start looking for reference of bamboo forests and pick the elements I like the most from each one, the way the light shines through in one, the water reflection in another. I also like to look to reference for character poses/clothes. Then put it all together 😄
@anidraws Thank you! With these I usually have a strong but simple idea/references to start with which helps me get them done. Unfortunately cuts into my sleep schedule a bit haha
