I believe that they don't understand that Valorant is not League and patching maps/agent mid competition with such a shit format is the worst thing in the world
Look how most of teams that went to Masters Madrid are struggling because no one had time to reset/prepare and work on new stuff for stage 1 when the teams that didn't qualify had 1month'ich to work and catch up these teams
And it will be the same situation for teams that will qualify to Shanghai.
And on top of that you add the nerf of the actual meta on a lot of maps, when actually teams that will qualify to Shanghai will have time to work for Stage 2 with this major changes ??? Actually better not qualify to Shanghai and just work for Stage 2 if you want to have higher chances to make Champions
You don’t get champions points unless you win the event, and you lose prep time so what’s the point ?
Look at LOUD situation.
Seen a lot of public critique towards the early season format but I think the points layout has flown under the radar. You get 3 points towards champs qualification for winning kickoff and 3 points for winning Madrid. A team which gets 2nd in both grand finals is, in terms of points, in the same spot as a team that goes 0-2 in their kickoff - and would be going home to play an important league split with almost no turnaround.
HYPED we made Madrid - and hyped to play this grand final - but wanted to highlight what I see as a major design flaw *before* this grand final is played out xD
Time to dial in and get those 3 points 🫡
