@skeppysbf I actually do believe that this was the intention with writing her, it's just that to me a lot of it falls flat because Jax (and lowkey a lot of the others in the circus) weren't written too well
He is horrible rep tho. Jax is a walking transfem stereotype. The writers sat down and decided to make their transfem character a misogynistic abuser that also has weird sexual fantasies about one of the women he abuses.
@kk_vantASS Those are not intrusive thoughts because that is just how she sees gangle and she isn't at all distressed by them. Even prior to episode nine she is saying it's okay to treat gangle the way she does because "She likes it though"
@Noze2222 The parts that the trans women who relate to Jax actually relate to aren't the parts where she goes around ritualistically abusing the rest of the women in the cast and that's the part that I'm trying to talk about. That's the part that is the stereotype
@notflametrustme A show at the scale of tadc doesn't exist in a vacuum. When you make a character a part of a minority it becomes representation of said minority, good or bad.

@Feking_sketchin I'm not saying he's bad rep because he's a bad person, I'm saying he's bad rep because the things that make him a bad person happen to be transphobic stereotypes and he doesn't have much beyond said stereotypes. There's a narrative that i see pushed around by transphobes that
@qierk@sadogdogsad because he has yet to come to terms with him being transgender..?? it is in fact very common for transgender people to be uncomfortable with people forcing them to come out by using pronouns that they have not asked you to use, even if its a set of pronouns they use later on
@MorganLeBlank I'm not saying that you can't make minority characters bad people, I'm saying that their only traits should not reflect stereotypes against said minority

@AZVRELOVER I'm not saying trans people can't relate to him, in fact i can 100% see why people would. My problem is that they literally didnt give Jax a single positive trait to latch on to and he's just a horrible abuser. There should have been some sort of in between.
