Most EVM smart contracts do not calculate with decimal numbers. They calculate with integers.
A token may display 1.25 units, but the contract stores that balance as a whole number of smaller base units. The token’s decimals tell the interface how to display it, not how the arithmetic works.
That distinction creates some expensive edge cases ↓
The player uses memory and changes the bet according to cards already dealt. The casino recognises the pattern and asks them to leave the blackjack table.
Who is being fair?
– The player using a legal skill
– The casino refusing a player with an edge
Tether has announced plans to launch USDT on RGB, a protocol that uses Bitcoin as its commitment layer while asset data is held and validated by the parties involved.
That is a different operating model from USDT on Ethereum or Tron. Here is what changes at the infrastructure level ↓
A borrower misses a payment in a tokenized credit product. What changes?
The answer comes from the loan agreement and the token terms, not from the smart contract alone.
The product first needs to determine whether the payment is late, within a cure period or already qualifies as a default.
A blockchain explorer says “confirmed,” but the user still sees a pending deposit. Both can be true.
Confirmation means the network has accepted the transaction at a chosen confirmation level. It does not mean the product has applied the result to the user’s account.
The missing step is application state ↓
Molly Bloom built a private poker game around something money could not automatically buy – access.
Her carefully selected tables attracted actors, athletes and businessmen. Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Ben Affleck were among the names later identified in her memoir.
The celebrities were not the legal problem.
Bloom crossed the line after moving to New York and taking a percentage from the pots. That turned the game into an illegal gambling business and brought her into a federal case.
The game became famous because of its guest list. It ended because the host started taking rake.
