This time, we’re going to look at the costumes 🤠made by our fantastic freelancer @syrahjay !  ✨

👀Looking at the illustrations from @lesleybarnes', a limited colour pallet of black, white, red, blue, yellow and pink was chosen! ⚪️🔴🔵🟡

🤔Could you draw something with a limited colour pallet? Maybe try your three favourite colours! 💬

🔴🟨🔷 To make the wearable shapes, felt was used to make it soft and less likely to be damaged.

💬What could you make an outfit out of? Card? Paper?

👗In order to make the skirts, Syrah recycled old hula hoops! How smart! ✨

🖌️🎨Is there anything you could repurpose into something new? Maybe an old hairband into a head piece?

🔴🔵Speaking or hairbands! 

Design doesn’t need to complex to be bold! As you can see here with Syrah’s Styrofoam headpiece. ✨✏️

✨And even if you’re happy with your design, don’t be afraid to try again! 

Syrah designed another headband similar to the first but ever so slightly different!  👀✏️
