Donโt be so quick to judge a man simply because he doesnโt know what you know, or think the way you think. Remember, there was a time when you didnโt know what you know today. -Malcolm X
I sincerely thank you all for the overwhelming gesture of love in contributing towards my court penalties. I know you did this because you relate with my principles, work, and commitments. You never asked if I had the money or not, you simply showed up in solidarity. Even when you learnt that the initial target had been reached, you just continued sending money, and you are still sending!
I didnโt have to explain much that, although Iโm aggrieved too, this case is not really about me. Some of you intervened in defence of freedoms and protection of this space for accountability. Some did it in defiance against the powerful that pee on those below.
The contributions included amounts as small as 4000/-, and from across the spectrum. Both opposition and NRM people showed up. Even ministers reached out with concern. Different tribes. Different religions and nationalities. From Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Ghana, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Nigeria, France, Switzerland, Netherlands, USA, Finland, UK, Sweden, Canada, Germany, Kazakstan, UAE, Brazil, โฆ It has surely been a statement beyond me. Some just stood up for principles, some for religious reasons, some in memory of injustices theyโve themselves faced in the past and still.
This country has very many good people, and we could build on those to do much more good. The evil ones are few and have no REAL friends to count on. Neither are they really happy. They live in fear for the harm theyโve caused to others. Thanks to @kiizaeron and @AAgather for spearheading the campaign even before I asked, though I surely desired it to be a collective experience and statement. Thanks Hon. @HEBobiwine for passionately amplifying the call. Thanks everyone. I canโt name you all, but I saw you, and felt you. I must add that ever since this case started, I have never spent a single penny of mine. Well wishers, fans, and friends have carried me on their shoulders all through - and very happily. It is not me they carry though, it is the cause. Thank you.
An institution takes your money.
You raise concern about it.
They run to court.
You are damaging their name.
You smile, for it is a Temple of Justice.
Court orders you to pay them more.
More than they took from you.
And add a Fine to the state, plus costs.
You are raped in turns.
From all angles and directions.
Violent untamed erections.
Penetrating every innocent part.
Judges hold you down.
With huge wooden hammers.
Suffocating you with wigs.
For the institution to sodomise you.
After the bloody orgy.
They masturbate on your pleas.
Singing songs to the Load above.
Celebrating a triumphant rape.
What about the voiceless?
The wretched down there.
With no one to hear them scream.
Does justice ever visit them?
08/08/2026:
My 21st Birthday ๐ ๐๐ ๐
I am very thankful for life and I am very thankful to God and to our people for keeping my family safe.
I have spent most of my 20th year of life thinking and feeling things that cannot be fully expressed in normal words, so I have decided to summarize them with bible verses.
Psalm 94:3:
How long, Lord, will the wicked, how long will the wicked be jubilant?
I have found comfort in the people I have dedicated myself too. Their hope is my ammunition, and it never runs out.
The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil,ย to give you a future and a hope.
On my 21st birthday, Iโd like to remind everyone reading my tweet of these very wise words.
Galatians 6:9:
Andย let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.
As for myself, I will continue to pray the same prayer.
Wisdom, Mental endurance, and Good health. ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ
So help me God.
@MichealLMarvin1@NUP_Ug You forgot one thing brother the U in NUP is simply UNITY meaning We are a Unifying factor we bring togather Everyone and Anyone....Gakyalimabagga..
One of the many reasons I left NRM was the whole idea that you're not allowed to think for yourself. I would often make posts criticizing government dysfunction and corruption, and then my inbox would be flooded with messages asking why Iโm fighting the government!
If for instance there was a corruption scandal involving some NRM bigwig and the opposition was up in arms against that person, you were expected to defend that person no matter how much loss or damage the person had caused.
Surprisingly, once Gen. Museveni ordered for the investigation of that person or took some action against them, you were expected to immediately shift goalposts and condemn him or her. If you continued defending that person after Museveni had spoken, you would be branded a traitor - ekipinga. Likewise, if you went to public hospitals and talked about the terrible conditions there, you were branded opposition. If Gen. Museveni came out and said the same thing, they would clap hands and nod in approval. So I asked, "What is my head for if I am not expected to make a judgment call on what is wrong or right?"
Sadly, that behavior has persisted up to now or even gotten worse. You all saw how NRM apologists were on these streets defending Anita Among despite all the evidence of grand corruption. But when the system turned on her, they joined the chorus of those condemning her. Seamlessly. Shamelessly!
I shuddered yesterday when I saw the number of apologists defending the shootings in Kisekka market. I'm sure if Museveni issues a statement today condemning that behavior, you will see how they instantly pivot and join in the condemnation. Suddenly, they will be "deeply disgusted" by these unpatriotic actions that harm peace, security, and tourism.
So, what is the purpose of having a brain if you canโt use it to think for yourself and discern what is right or wrong?
