The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has concluded the ‘Our Flexible Summer 2026’ initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to anticipate the future of work and enhance the government work environment. This edition saw broader participation and greater diversity in implementation experiences, providing DGHR with a wider base of data and practical insights to support the continued development of the Dubai Government employee experience.
🇱🇧 Lebanon has had a de facto moratorium on the death penalty since 2004; its parliament has now approved a draft law to abolish it officially.
In July, 3 parliamentary joint committees formally approved the draft law to abolish the death penalty and replace it with life imprisonment.
When the bill moved to the full Parliament general assembly for a vote, it was postponed. Christian MPs from the Lebanese Forces walked out of the chamber.
But now, Lebanon is on the precipice of becoming the FIRST country in the Middle East to formally end capital punishment.
A sharp contrast from Israel, where the "Death Penalty for Terrorists Law" was passed in March of this year...
