Here's our updated guidance for players and clubs on undertaking recreational cricket activity and informal cricket activity in an outdoor environment.
This is a situation that is changing quickly with guidance evolving day by day. We will continue to liaise with the ECB and YCB and provide updates to you all accordingly.
To all clubs, over the past few days there have been some decisions made regarding sport in the UK. At this stage the 2020 season will commence on 18th April 2020 as planned. As you would expect, the SYSCL will follow the advice given by the YCB, ECB and Sport England.
We understand thereโs a mountain of information and misinformation out in the public domain - particularly on social media - so we urge clubs to only follow the advice from medical experts.ย
We are unable to answer individual questions and clubs have the same information we have.
It was good to see such a great turnout of new volunteers for our Safe Hands courses. Thank you to everyone who attended and, as a note to everyone, please keep an eye out on our social media for further courses.
To all clubs and interested parties the SYSCL Cricket Committee have a vacancy for the secretaryโs role. Anyone interested please contact David Ward via email on [email protected]
