@Dozed044@hyaxinthoizys that's fair, it can absolutely be a pain in the ass. generally not understanding how ur brain works and what u need to do differently to function can screw over ppls entire lives.
@Dozed044@hyaxinthoizys i mean adhd can def lead to those things but it doesn't mean that there aren't other factors i think is what they're getting at. life w ADHD can totally be traumatic in and of itself, and that trauma can lead to many other things that could become other diagnoses too
@hyaxinthoizys the amt of times i see ppl making up "lesser known symptoms of adhd" that have nothing to do w the criteria is insane. esp when ppl say RSD = adhd when that could easily be trauma related and/or a PD depending on severity. ppl rly dont like the idea they have multiple diagnoses.
i feel like DID makes me more of a grudge holder than id like myself to be and i cant rly do anything abt it. like idgaf abt this one off thing that didn't even feel rude but now im having nightmares that u hate me and i keep getting an off feeling abt u for no reason.
@laberintosys my name is none of my business. yes i will respond to my legal name but it is no more than a phrase to refer to me. but it isn't Me and that's fine.
i saw a spoiler for a game and then prompted myself to try dissociating to forget about it immediately. didn't work tho. a good dissociative trance wasted.
@pluralbears the way i was just talking to a friend abt this. it's weird bc at least for me it was kinda protective to keep distance, but it still hurts and sucks that no one ever really cared to try either. just feeling totally invisible
@atlasm0m3nts yeah... i mean at least in my area it's also expensive to find a specialist. so if someone needs help and can't afford it, they keep going to the next best thing... which ig is just anyone that acts like they know what they're talking about 💀
@atlasm0m3nts yeah it's so weird to me. i feel like part of it is that it can be hard to find an actual therapist or professional to talk to abt these things too. but then the community just kinda creates its own information and places authority upon random ass ppl.
@_abyssmalbeings if you're a system then you're always system-like. there's no one way to be a system, and masking is like baked into the covert nature of the disorder.
ive never "introduced myself to someone with a diff name" or been super noticeable. but that's just me. you're you.
@motrpriv it kinda was but it turned out neat. it was basically asking questions to ppl u met in college + people that knew u before to see how diff ppl see u. some of the things ppl said still stick w me tbh
