Dear @TeamShiksha community and followers,
I owe you all an apology for not being able to continue the web development cohort as planned last year. I started the cohort with great enthusiasm, and we were making excellent progress with daily sessions. However, life took some unexpected turns, and I wasn't able to maintain the commitment I had made to you all.
Shortly after starting the cohort, I accepted a new role where I had a lot to learn and grow in the early months. Later in the year, my wife and I were blessed with a beautiful daughter (Mirai).
These significant life changes, combined with my work responsibilities, made it increasingly difficult for me to dedicate the time and focus needed to run the cohort effectively.
I found myself only able to identify free time slots at the last moment, which wasn't conducive to conducting meaningful tech sessions. Instead, I redirected my available energy towards running Impromptu Meetups, which have been going well.
I realize that many of you invested your time and trust in this cohort, and I deeply regret not being able to follow through as promised. I take full responsibility for this shortcoming and understand the disappointment it may have caused.
However, I'm committed to learning from this experience and improving. This year, I'm planning to resume the cohort with a radically different approach. All content will be open and accessible, allowing you to learn at your own pace or alongside us. I'm also onboarding multiple mentors for both frontend and backend development to ensure that the program isn't dependent on my availability alone.
I value the trust you've placed in @TeamShiksha and me personally, and I'm determined to make this new iteration more robust and flexible. If you're interested in being part of this journey, either as a learner or a mentor, please drop me a DM.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. I'm excited about this new chapter and the opportunity to serve our community better.
Sincerely,
Sunny R Gupta
