Let's explore what we've lost, so communities can regain their imagination for what effective public transit can be! Thx for capturing this @rachel_garbus
Atlanta used to have extensive public transit, actually https://t.co/lkbPapfbB8
It takes many contributions to deliver this combined functionality— ever more complex interactions - many were also currently innovating. #SystemsEngineering practices enable effective integrated design. We explore their state of adoption in #Automotive

We have big plans for October to do another bioregional activation tour... this one will be in Cascadia.
Have a look at our ambitious effort:
https://t.co/4TDTea8lCj
I am being invited to give free talks and workshops in about 20 communities from Vancouver to Eugene. Our vision is to work with local organizers to grow their capacities for funding, governance, and visionary actions that serve the region as a whole.
This includes a 5-week "bioregional activation tour" followed by a summit in early November. Those of us who have been planning this for months believe it to truly historic and that there is potential for impacts to ripple across the planet.
Cascadia is one of the oldest, largest, and most sophisticated bioregional movements on Earth. I lived within its boundaries for a third of my life (nine years in Seattle; five years in Eugene) and I have deep love for her incredible landscapes.
Please help us spread the word to your friends that this is happening in October. Go to the website above to get involved.
Onward, fellow humans.
“In Finland, the # of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.” https://t.co/EH3reri9lz
/5 Can share examples from transit/mobility + infra system design + operational experiences. Most execs and design teams skip these Systems activities during planning or don't obtain SystEngrg support.
Reach out if your project can benefit! #SEactivities#SystemResilience
Time to focus on infrastructure system resilience - to better prepare and withstand new weather extremes. Also recognize increasing dependencies between infrastructure - power, telecomms, water, drainage and wastewater and mobility. #Systemsapproach https://t.co/sDjgwraKu4
/4 If planning infra project, consider Resilience as a key part of project Purpose, as a key outcome. Full Systems Engrg exploration will guide stakeholders+execs to map ops scenarios, needed functionality. This needs analysis forms basis to assess solutions. #SystemsEngineering
@gradydoctor What a beautiful, brave, honest thread. So resonant to life being life experience, I cried each time I reread it. Prayers to you, your dad and sister. Thinking of you. ❤️
And kudos to that wise intern, who's listening + mirroring your lead. She's going places. #wellness#love
Another day, another record for the North Atlantic. Everything is happening so fast, it's hard to get a sense of the enormity of these anomalies, let alone their consequences.
Nice analogy @HelenBevan!... Reminds me of Systems workshop facilitated last week exploring capital planning phase activities to establish agreed Purpose, assess needs across diverse stakeholders: project definition before design/delivery! #Systemsapproach
Leading a team is much like conducting an orchestra. Its about building team cohesion based on a collective vision & shared goals & ensuring each person is valued for the unique contribution they make. We seek a synchronised effort that leaves a lasting impact: https://t.co/GgEDh7ofyN By @MarianTemmen Graphic: @tnvora
Integrating accessibility into our communities + urban design— is a great basis for stimulating integrated mobility that’s healthy and more sustainable for us, our neighbors and communities on many levels. #integratedmobility#mobilityecosystem#Systems

I suggest anyone interested in how our utilities.. Energy, water, transport, waste and digital.. Got to where they are now reads this as a starting point for understanding how the dogma behind events has dominated.
@kvogt@TaylorOgan@Cruise@JenniferHomendy@NHTSAgov "In none of these cases was the assignment intended to blame the driver for causing the crash."
By misleadingly claiming that humans alone cause crashes, you are doing a disservice to roadway safety -- and also contradicting @NTSB and @NHTSAgov.
