I kept thinking about the past shows. to be honest, I was looking forward to these shows thinking he will receive nothing but only happy memories. Singing project was not main thing but we wanted him to be happy. I am sure he was overall very happy, had an amazing time, and he performed incredibly. But speaking just for myself that I was feeling down so I reminded myself of some really good things when I looked at the bigger picture.

This is the same artist who completed a highly successful solo tour where nearly all of his shows had incredible fan projects with beautiful banners, some shows had more than one fan project and they all were successful. He had entire venue singing along not just to the Astronaut, but to all his songs.

Looking back at everything. 2022 performance, RSET and the ARIRANG tour.
Maybe just me, but I felt the fan culture in Arirang tour was really different than RSET culture as well as their previous LY tours. And different from 2022 Coldplay Argentina concert too. When I went to their Arirang shows, the familiar warm culture was missing. Maybe different mix of audience or I don’t know. All I know is that these audience don’t determine what who we are, or who he is

I am so happy he spoke up. Fans who didn't know him well got a chance to understand what he likes and what he doesn’t. My friend and I were uncomfortable abt banner when we first saw it, but we thought they’re trying to show so much love and how do we say something? Maybe they won’t understand. and we know their intentions were good, i understand. But he respectfully and subtly let everyone know his boundaries. I thought it was so cool and brave of him.

There is no confusion about what he said. it was simply him being honest in the most respectful way possible. The more people learn about him, the more they will understand him. He handles everything with grace, dignity and total honesty.

The Astronaut is his song, he had the courage and self-drive to fly 40 hours to perform it for us. He did not just fly for one country. He did it for all fans globally. We were all so happy. I hope he remembers 2022 trip with happiness

I truly appreciate all those who worked hard to make him feel loved. Please don’t take to heart if things didn’t work out the way we wanted. At the end of the day, the most memorable and news-worthy moments of this entire tour are all associated with him

Quando entramos no fandom, muitas brincadeiras parecem inofensivas. Com o tempo, apelidos como “mãe”, “esposa do Namjoon”, piadas de que o Jin “pariu o JK” ou comentários chamando-o de “velho” e “cansado” acabaram sendo normalizados entre ARMYs.

Todos os dias denunciamos contas que o ridicularizam usando exatamente as mesmas narrativas que o próprio fandom normalizou. Eu poderia encher este post de prints mostrando esse conteúdo. Mas não quero dar alcance a páginas que vivem de espalhar ódio.

O que para muitos é apenas uma brincadeira, nas mãos dos haters vira uma ferramenta para humilhar e denegrir a imagem do Jin.

Não podemos controlar os haters. Mas podemos controlar a forma como falamos sobre ele.

Se queremos que o mundo enxergue Kim Seokjin com o respeito que ele merece, esse respeito precisa começar dentro do próprio fandom.
