@crxd_dystopyr @BlenderBrit Nice tip @BlenderBrit ! It is possible to increase the amount of bones and control the influence with drivers - as long as it strikes the air it gives somewhat convincing result. Suitable for organic movements. I am suggesting Geometry nodes or Cloth/Softbody for whip simulation
From @theeleagame to American trucks! Together with our partners from @SOEDESCO, we are announcing the new game, which will be released later this year - TD: American Dream. We have invested a lot to take full advantage of UE5 and the new consoles, and I can't wait to share more!
@letkeman Hi Ron. Sorry for the late reply. I used geometry proximity to edges to control the distribution. It doesn't like very sharp corners or small spaces. You can play with the project files bellow.

@ca_olin_@julper Volumetric material is a nice and modern solution! Halo materials were pretty neat feature back then. They are like billboard textures per vertex. I've set up something similar in GN - you can download the file from here:

So, you can create simulations with geometry nodes in the current version of Blender by having two separate objects take the other's geometry as an input, who knew! 'Alien Relic' #Nodevember2022#geometrynodes#b3d#Eevee#Nodevember
