“Young men need a space where they can act traditionally masculine.”
Mosh pits.
“And express their emotions in a healthy way.”
Mosh pits.
“Where they can find community.”
Mosh pits.
“Somewhere they can gain a basic understanding of consent.”

@macwrites I think you're just seeing different psychological profiles. Some people cope with anger, others cope trying to find understanding (even if it isn't going to be apparent right this moment)
@macwrites I actually think this is the least likely of his campaign promises that he'll keep, as artificially raising prices on goods US companies sell us likely is going to make many billionaires mad
@RajivMote Depressed people (generalizing here) might have a more accurate representation of what is out of their control, but likely have an *inaccurate* representation what is in their control. Learned helplessness is definitely a thing.
@RajivMote I enjoyed it for sure, but am kind of really surprised they're going at a book-per-season pace. Even if they consolidate some of the slog, they're aiming for 10 season or so????
@RajivMote That was shocking. I think it was one of the first indications that the show version has some understanding it won't be able to get its audience to follow 100+ people through its arc
@RajivMote I'm enjoying the season but have no idea how people who didn't read the books are following along. My wife watches with me and even after a season and five episodes she can't name all of the Edmund's field five even
