- 2-3 bye weeks per year. I’d play hard ball and demand 3. But how? Eliminate pre-season in exchange for in stadium practices/scrimmages between franchises - tickets to each event to make up for the lost preseason revenue. Do it twice a training camp every other week - camp is 4 weeks total starting 2nd week of July. That’s 4 paid events vs the current 3 but a condensed schedule. But since it’s a practice/scrimmage setting let the coaches and players work it out - reduce injuries and increase productivity with 1 v 1s. The condensed training camp gives you plenty of wiggle room to start the season earlier.
