“As the lead dancer, Daniela brings an energetic stage presence to the group’s performances. An American with Cuban and Venezuelan heritage, she is proud of her Latin roots, but sometimes feels that acceptance is elusive for those who occupy that middle ground between cultures.”
#Daniela #KATSEYE
At 18, Yoonchae is #Katseye’s "maknae," or youngest member, and as such, she often comes under the emotional wing of older members—a dynamic that became touchingly obvious during our interview. The move to the group’s Los Angeles base has been a challenge for her. “I saw one eyekon [fan] post on Twitter, and she was Korean,” Yoonchae says. “She came to America for school…and she, like me, was having such a hard time adjusting to American culture. She also met a lot of mean people, and she got bullied. When I saw that it seemed like I was looking at myself. So the way she felt I helped her, she also helped me.” That emotional connection with fans is a big part of the Katseye magic. Discover more: https://t.co/JbMTKoNtb1
