En estos momentos, el saldo NETO del País Vasco con el resto de España es de unos +6.000 millones de euros. Es decir, el País Vasco recibe 6.000 millones de euros MÁS en pagos y transferencias fiscales del resto de España que los impuestos y cotizaciones sociales que paga.

Dado que es la segunda comunidad autónoma de más renta per cápita en España, esto NO tiene sentido alguno.

Por cierto, el País Vasco aporta el gran total de CERO a la caja de solidaridad de otras comunidades.

Cuelgo de nuevo este post porque hay que insistir una y otra vez: el País Vasco y Navarra, la segunda y tercera comunidad autónoma de más renta, reciben transferencias fiscales netas de las otras 15 comunidades autónomas.

Es decir: el conjunto de las administraciones públicas presta servicios y paga transferencias a los habitantes del País Vasco y Navarra que están muy por encima del conjunto de impuestos y cotizaciones sociales que pagan los habitantes y empresas de los habitantes del País Vasco y Navarra.

Transferir de los relativamente pobres a los relativamente ricos es un escándalo que atenta contra los principios básicos del Estado del Bienestar.

Pero todavía es más escándalo que la inmensa mayoría de los economistas de izquierda y centroizquierda que se dedican en España a temas fiscales permanezcan callados como tumbas al respecto porque esto de los fueros, un residuo feudal, debe ser muy progresista.

On this day, 9 August 1978, Italian (South Tyrolian) mountaineer Reinhold Messner reached the 8,126-metre summit of Nanga Parbat completely alone. Climbing without supplementary oxygen or support from teammates, he opened a new route on the right side of the Diamir Face. It became the first complete solo ascent of an 8,000-metre mountain.

Nanga Parbat was deeply personal for Messner. Eight years earlier, he had climbed its enormous Rupal Face with his younger brother Günther. After reaching the summit, they descended towards the Diamir side, where Günther disappeared, apparently swept away by an avalanche. Reinhold survived the descent but suffered frostbite.

Messner returned in 1978 with a very different vision of high-altitude climbing: minimal equipment, no bottled oxygen and as little outside support as possible. Earlier that year, he and Peter Habeler had made the first ascent of Everest without supplementary oxygen. On Nanga Parbat, Messner went one step further, he climbed without a partner at all.

His 1978 line was separate from the route by which he had escaped the mountain in 1970. After reaching the summit alone, he descended through the Mummery Rib area, completing one of the boldest climbs in mountaineering history.

A source with direct knowledge of the Yan Diomandé negotiations has spoken. The picture they paint is ugly.

After PSG pulled out, everyone expected Real Madrid to slam the door shut and force Leipzig’s price down. That hasn’t happened. And there’s a reason.

The Premier League blacklisted him.
Not officially. Not with a public statement. But every serious English club knows the reality: the legal mess around Diomandé’s representation is so toxic that any Premier League move risks commissions being frozen or challenged in court. Multiple ongoing proceedings, five different agents in two years, image rights disputes, and a “spiritual father” figure who has taken cuts from almost every previous deal. English clubs looked at the file and walked. Clean. Quietly.

That left only two serious buyers: PSG and Real Madrid.

PSG saw the same documents. Their people did the due diligence. When the agent side started demanding near-20 million in combined signing bonuses and commissions on top of the transfer fee, Paris said no. Publicly they called the demands “disproportionate and distortive.” Privately, the message was simpler: we are not financing this circus.

Real Madrid kept going.
Here is the part that has people inside the industry shaking their heads.
Leipzig’s 120 million valuation was built on the assumption of a full bidding war — including Premier League money. Once the English clubs were effectively out and PSG walked, the price should have dropped. That is basic market logic. Instead, Madrid are still operating at the full asking price as if nothing changed.

The source’s words:

“You know the player is blocked from the Premier League because of the agent and legal problems. You tell Leipzig the 120 has to come down. They say no. And Madrid still accepts it.
There are only two explanations.
Either the people running Real Madrid are completely out of the loop and not doing their jobs…
Or someone is eating on this deal.
I already have a pretty clear idea which one it is.”

Real’s legal department has already received the three active proceedings linked to the player. They know. The board knows. And yet the operation is still being pushed at full price.

This is no longer just a transfer. It is a stress test of how Real Madrid conducts business when the competition disappears and the only people left at the table are the ones collecting fees.
PSG walked away and protected their books.

The Premier League clubs never even sat down properly.
And Real Madrid are still writing the big cheque.

The deal isn’t done because the people who should be protecting the club’s money are either asleep… or eating.
