In collaboration with the Indian Council of World Affairs, the Department of Defence and National Security Studies, Panjab University @OfficialPU, Chandigarh, organised a two-day seminar on “Mapping India’s Foreign Policy in the Emerging Geopolitical Dynamics” on 19 and 20 February 2026.
Dr. Teshu Singh @T18singh, Research Fellow, ICWA, addressed the inaugural session. In her remarks, she spoke about India’s Foreign Policy and the AI Impact Summit. She stated that the National Seminar is taking place at a very opportune time, as India is hosting the AI Impact Summit 2026 from February 16 to 20, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The summit is a diplomatic success as it highlights India’s role in AI geopolitics. She highlighted, amid the ongoing geopolitical churn, India’s foreign Policy has become more pragmatic than ever.

In collaboration with the Indian Council of World Affairs (#ICWA), a two-day International Conference on “Rethinking India’s Engagement with Southeast Asia” was organised by the Department of Political Science, Tetso College @TetsoCollege, Nagaland from 6-7 November 2025. Dr. Teshu Singh @T18singh, Research Fellow, ICWA, addressed the inaugural session. She also chaired the technical session on “Tensions and Shifting Strategies”. She discussed the changing geopolitics of the region. She emphasised the significance of the Indo-Pacific and India’s vision for it. She also elaborated on China's rise as a dominant issue in the region. China’s economic and strategic influence continues to expand in both the Pacific and Indian Oceans, thereby establishing a new balance of power across the vast region.

In collaboration with #ICWA, Gangadhar Meher University, Sambalpur, Odisha organized the Twelfth Biennial International Conference on the theme "History, Culture and Commerce in the Indo-Pacific World: Past and Present" from 23-24 October 2024 along with the Indian Association for Asian and Pacific Studies and Indian Council for Social Science Research @icssr. Dr. Teshu Singh @T18singh, RF, ICWA represented the Council at the Conference and made presentation on India's Indo-Pacific vision and current geopolitics and geo-economics in the region.

Ambassador Vijay Thakur Singh, DG, ICWA led an ICWA delegation to Seoul, Republic of Korea for a bilateral dialogue with Korea National Diplomatic Academy @mofa_knda on 19 March 2024. The #KNDA delegation was led by Dr. Park Cheol Hee, Chancellor, KNDA. Discussions were held on regional strategic architecture in the #IndoPacific and ways to further improve strategic trust between Korea and #India. KNDA is ICWA's MoU Partner.
The Second Republic of Korea-India 2+2 Policy Dialogue was held in Seoul, South Korea on 20 March 2024 with the participation of #ICWA and #RIS on the Indian side and #KNDA and #KIEP on the South Korean side. The theme of the Policy Dialogue was "#ROK and #India: Partners of Strategic Trust in the #IndoPacific". ICWA delegation was led by Ambassador Vijay Thakur Singh, DG, ICWA. and RIS delegation was led by Dr. @seshadrichari, Member, Governing body and Governing Council, @RIS_NewDelhi. @mofa_knda delegation was led by Dr Park Cheol Hee, Chancellor, KNDA and KIEP delegation was led by Dr Lee Siwok, President, KIEP. Ambassador of India to ROK Amit Kumar @KumarAmitMEA also participated in the Dialogue. Discussions were held on ROK-India perspectives on a changing strategic landscape in the Indo-Pacific, ways to strengthen ROK-India’s strategic and security trust in the Indo-Pacific and the rise of the #GlobalSouth and ROK-India development partnership.
