If the democratic parties do not solve the problems, undemocratic parties will be elected instead.

If you criminalize those undemocratic parties it will further embolden them.

The problems are clear:
- uncontrolled mass immigration
- failed energy strategy
- overregulation and overtaxation
- weak foreign policy (see Ukraine)

If CDU/SPD can get it together now and progress on these topics, AfD will pose no threat.

The smarter way would have been CDU/AfD coalition, give AfD the topic of mass immigration to solve while keeping them far away of foreign policy (it's clear, they are China/Russia assets). Quickest way to shut up someone is to give them ownership and responsibility.
