The Kingdom that Jesus comes to inaugurate is a shoot, a small branch sprouting from a trunk that promises rebirth when everything else seems to be dying. The coming of the Messiah was announced in the smallness of a shoot, because He can only be recognized by the little ones, by those who humbly know how to recognize the hidden details and traces of God in a seemingly lost story. #ApostolicJourney #Lebanon
WHY ARE CAMP MEETINGS IMPORTANT?
The term “Camp meeting” as we know it today originated in the 1700’s during the Great Awakening revivals in England and America.
It was a period where the spiritual life of many was thin, so traveling preachers organized multi-day outdoor gatherings for worship, preaching, prayer, and conversion. This eventually resulted in the explosion of revival across many cities.
However, the culture of mapping out time for prolonged devotion to God goes as far back as the Bible days. In Acts 2, the disciples spent days waiting on God until the Holy Ghost fell.
Also, we see in Acts 13, certain Teachers and Prophets who ministered to the Lord and fasted, and while they did this, the Holy Ghost gave an instruction for Paul and Barnabas to be ministry partners in the work that God has called them for.
However, following this instruction, they kept praying. This goes to show that they weren’t fasting and praying just to receive an instruction, but for fellowship.
Creating time to spend a protracted period of time in devotion is a biblical practice that mustn’t be lost in our day.
This is why we hold the REBOOT CAMP!

The Reboot Camp 2024 is just 6 days away!
The river is here!
Are you ready to jump in?
I have struggled with thoughts of putting this out here in the past 6 months but I think there’s no better time than now to mention it.
So, all through Sound of Revival US & Canada, most of the times Pastor Nathaniel Bassey stepped out to minister…

The least you will ever be in Christ is the new man, and that is also the most you will ever be. The new man is not a phase; he is the genesis and the zenith of your spirituality. You are eternally locked into this reality. You grow in it, move in it, and have your being in it.
The new man is not a starting point you outgrow; he is the eternal configuration of your being in Christ.
The journey of renewing your mind begins as the new man, not toward becoming one. Peter said, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” (1 Peter 2:2). Notice it says as newborn babes, not to become newborn babes. Growth in Christ does not change your species; it unveils your essence.
When a baby is born, he is not becoming human; he is fully human from day one. He will never grow into another kind of creature. His growth is the unfolding of his humanity. Likewise, being a babe in Christ does not make you less new; you are as much the new man the day you were born again as you will ever be. Growth only brings greater expression and awareness of that reality.
That is why the milk is sincere. The Greek word for sincere means unadulterated, pure, without mixture. You cannot grow rightly on contaminated teaching — half law, half grace; half Moses, half Christ.
The new man feeds on sincerity, the undiluted word of truth that affirms who he already is in Christ. The milk is not meant to make you new; it is meant to reveal the newness you already carry.
Then comes the transition from milk to strong meat, but even that does not improve your status; it heightens your consciousness. The difference between milk and meat is not superiority of status but maturity of perception. Both are for the same man, the new man.
It is dangerous, spiritually fatal even, to operate in any spiritual praxis without this understanding. Without it, prayer becomes performance, fasting becomes self-punishment, giving becomes transaction, and warfare becomes fear management. You begin to measure spirituality by activity instead of identity. That is why so many wear themselves out “doing” for God rather than “being” in Him.
Every spiritual act must proceed from the revelation of the new man; otherwise, it degenerates into religion and self-righteous effort.
When you pray as the new man, you are not trying to move God; you are aligning with His nature already working in you. When you fast as the new man, you are not striving for approval; you are sharpening your sensitivity. When you give as the new man, you are not buying blessings; you are expressing the generosity of the divine nature you already possess.
All true growth in Christ is consciousness growth, not status improvement. The new man is the constant “k” in every equation of life. You began as him, you grow in him, and you will end as him.
This is who you are in justification, and your sanctification follows the same protocol. You are who you will always be in Christ. Sanctification is not about becoming someone else; it is the progressive unveiling of who you already are by justification. Both flow from the same source, the new man.
Paul captured this beautifully:
“And have put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
— Ephesians 4:24
That verse sums it all. You have put on the new man already. You are not trying to wear him; you are growing in the awareness of who you already are. The new man is both your beginning and your becoming, the eternal workmanship of God in you.
A word for teachers.
The way man is designed by God is that he is result oriented. He will take a ministry that has partially good doctrine with power rather than one with a "perfec"t doctrine that is powerless.
If you truly want people to accept your "perfect" doctrine, seek power to have undeniable proofs, or you will be frustrated.
Acts 8:6
"And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did."
You may say John the Baptist did no miracle, but yet multitudes came to him. Yes, that happened until the miracle worker showed up, and even his disciples and the multitudes left him.
Ministry with compassion.
In ministry, we are called to stand in the gap. There are gaps in the lives of God’s people, which satan daily exploits to cause pain and anguish, and those called into ministry must stand in those gaps.
When Jesus first ordained people into the ministry, saying the harvest truly is plentous, but labourers few, he was referring to filling in the gaps he clearly saw.
Matthew 9:36-38
36 But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them because they fainted and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd.
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.
One of the major reason for the thriving of people who may even deploy demonic powers in reaching people is because they are essentially entering into these gaps and providing pseudo solutions for the pain in people's lives.
To ignore the pain and anguish people daily face in and focus solely on "correctedness in doctrine" which most of the time is a re-echoing of what your first exposure to literature through which you interpreted the scriptures only lands one on the side of the Pharissees who criticised Jesus for healing on the Sabbath saying he violated that which was written.
If we observe Jesus's answer to the Pharisees he didn't get theological with them he simply went to the root of ministry which is compassion and exposed their lack of empathy for the suffering people but saying if your child or even your ox falls into a well on the Sabbath won't you help him?
If good and right people don't see the absolute need for the demonstration of power in meeting the needs of the people and stay on doctrinal accuracy path only those who operate in error but with power will win.
This is why as much as the magicians threw down their rods and they became snakes, Moses too had to do the same to swallow them up or else in the eyes of the people the magicians would have won.
Pointing out doctrinally that they were in error without offering the legitimate demonstration to meet people at the point of their need is a losers game.
What is required are those who understand the words of Jesus when he said you do err not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
Matthew 22:29
"Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God."
This suggests that if scriptural knowledge doesn't result in demonstrations of power, something is wrong with that knowledge or interpretation of scriptures. It is partial and incomplete.
The light shines in darkness, and darkness cannot comprehend it.
If i teach the In-Christed life and someone who understands it but remains bound by an addiction for 15years even though he can clearly explain "redemption rights" while the addiction is destroying his family and life, if he one day meets with a minister that offers hope through the demonstration of power he may set aside his doctrinally position simply to be helped.
I know of an old minister back in the 90s who said my people confessed and confessed God's word, yet I still saw them struggle, so I changed my ministry.
Whatever the issue, the word has to be taught for people to experience the power of God or else it won't last.
This has been the reoccuring cycle in the Body of Christ, and it need not be so.
The longing of Jesus at this moment for his body today is the balance. This is where the matter is. A minister who both explains and also knows there must be a demonstration or he or she has left the gap intact.
This is why Jesus came teaching and healing. What they noted about him was the power his words carry to change matter, stop raging winds, and heal the sick.
The new ministry of compassion for those who are hurting and not just wanting to show what I know with a sense of superiority.
You know you may have the skill set to ride a bicycle. However, when you were given the bicycle, it was already broken. Now, a good rider will have no opportunity to show his skill on a broken bicycle, except he first has the skill to repair it before he starts riding. Those who have experience at riding know that the bicycle will need repairs from time to time so that they develop that skill as well.
This is why there are many CEOs who were appointed to lead a business they cannot build, but when it's built, they can manage it.
Leadership requires that you have the anointing to repair.
This is why experience and not just aspiration matters.
