Slavery originated thousands of years ago, becoming institutionalized with early agricultural civilizations around 4000–6000 BCE in Mesopotamia and Sumer as a method for managing large workforces, war captives, and debt. It existed globally across ancient societies—including Egypt, China, India, Greece, and Rome—driven by economic necessity and conquest.
Mesopotamians were not "white" in the modern, Western racial sense. They were an ancient West Asian, ethnically diverse population composed primarily of Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians. Their skin tones were generally shades of olive or light-brown, typical of the Middle East region, rather than the fair skin associated with modern definitions of white. Just saying.
The Canadian government plans to wage guerrilla war against the U.S., by taking away the populations guns? Haha
Does anybody see the absurdity of that plan?
This Liberal government are the dumbest people on the planet.
If they want a guerrilla style insurgency, they should be handing out assault style rifles to any military aged civilian, just like Ukraine did.
You are so delusional, as far as I know we signed a deal for this land, I think they are called treaties. Otherwise without that, historically the people of the land being taken over experienced a far worse outcome. I’m glad it didn’t come to that. And, I was born here just like any other native person, through no fault of my own.
@marlene4719 We’re not fine. We are being run by crooks that are stealing our hard earned money. It’s not ok to be paying 46% of your hard earned money in taxes. It’s not ok to have your private property confiscated. In what universe is that ok?
@Reil76 Carney can make clear coherent statements? He’s a stumbling and mumbling word salad moron that never makes sense. And Trump is right here, Mark should watch his statements very carefully. Trump will help Alberta first, then Canada will crumble.
@Reil76 Definitely a lot of wrong information from this guy. He’s the delusional one. The lawyers already have a clear path to separation legally. I don’t think Alberta is worried about his false points.
@LoriSigurdson Let’s see, the NDP cut healthcare spending while they were in power in Alberta, and the federal Liberals have let immigration get to 8 times the sustainable level, flooding our hospitals with patients. But you think it’s the UCP? LOL
