@gorillanov Is it common to see in Japan? Im aware that your licensing and tax systems make smaller displacement motorcycles more common so im sure the market is crowded.
@tuuu28283 There is certainly a negative context someone could draw from any interaction. It can be healthy to explore that idea but it should be done openly and respectfully. If they are serious about that feeling then they went about it in an unproductive way.
@tuuu28283 I drill or bust open holes and fill them with wires. I'm also obligated to say everyone else who does the same thing does it wrong or worse than I do.
@eECdA6Cgqfwu3IA I thought to type out some kinda of platitudes and give encouragement when I remembered you're getting blasted right now. "Hold fast!"
Bro, letโs stop pretending.
Muslims make up about 25% of the entire worldโs population โ over 2 billion people across 50+ countries.
Japanese people? About 1.4% of the world. One single country.
Shinto exists only in Japan.
So when people say โJapan should prioritize minorities and be more accommodating to Islam,โ who exactly are we talking about?
The global majority is coming to one of the worldโs smallest ethnic and religious groups and demanding that Japan change its culture, food, and traditions for them.
Thatโs not โprotecting minorities.โ Thatโs the majority trying to colonize a tiny minority.
Japan has every right to protect its own people and culture first.
If Muslims want to live under Islamic rules, they already have dozens of countries where they can do that. They donโt need to come to Japan and turn it into another one.
@ReDaNyo77 I see so many on Japanese Twitter, mine is always covered in bugs so I seek contentment here, I appreciate people sharing their shiny bikes.
@RiderForty My dad's bike, he rode it across the united states from Maine to California. Its gone now but I fondly remember how tough it was to maneuver. Its a 1994 Harley Davidson Electra Glide.
@06__aika Dont buy a big ol' V4, shift early, accelerate and decelerate as little as possible, your bike is most efficient at low rpm in the highest gear. Keep in mind that a bike engine is least stressed out at a higher rpm than you might think, so dont bog it down too much.
@RiderForty While I have anyone's attention, I implore you to study crashes and how to avoid them. I'm a fan of @DDFMCrewChief, who breaks down crash videos on YouTube, if theres a content creator in Japan who does something similar it would be a great idea to follow them.
@RiderForty In town Im constantly watching for the side of a car, or signs Im about to be seeing the side of a car. Approach places you might find a car sideways in front of you with incredible caution. I also make sure to move to the front at a stop light, so I dont get made into a pancake.
@KilroyJCNJ@tuuu28283 A doctor once told me of a patient who left home with just his helmet for protection. A short trip to the store ended in many scrapes and the skin of his foot having to be pulled back on like a sock. I was placed firmly in the "all the gear all the time" mindset after that.
