🚨 Week 5 TXPSFB Players to Watch 🚨

This is a new segment I am trying to do each week to highlights key players that have made an impact for their teams and who are important pieces for their team to find future succes as well, specifically for the game coming up that week!

**Kason Anding** – Anding has produced strong stat lines early in the season and remains a key piece of the Cardinals’ offense. As Victoria St. Joseph looks to extend its sneaky undefeated start, Anding’s ability to establish the run will be critical. His consistency in creating balance for the offense makes him an important player to track heading into district play.

**Austin Cosby** – Cosby looks to follow up last week’s matchup against a TAPPS D1 opponent with another productive outing. His command of the passing game continues to improve, and this week provides another opportunity to build momentum. As district play approaches, Cosby’s development under center will be pivotal for the Lions.

**Hudson Deats** – Dallas Christian entered the season needing new contributors on defense, and Deats has quickly emerged as one of the most reliable answers. His ability to adjust to a larger role has been impressive, and his steady impact has helped solidify the Chargers’ unit. Deats’ continued progression will be essential as competition intensifies.

**Canaan Factor** – Factor entered the season with high expectations and has delivered on both sides of the ball. His versatility forces opponents to account for him at all times, whether or not he is directly involved in the play. If the Falcons are to compete for an SPC 3A title, Factor’s production and leadership will remain central to their success.

**Coy Hayes** – Now in his third year as a starter, Hayes has become a consistent leader for the Mustangs’ defense. His strong performance early this season has already earned recognition, and his ability to disrupt opposing offenses has been a difference-maker. With district play approaching, Hayes will be relied on heavily to anchor the unit.

**Will Lemonds** – Lemonds has emerged as a top playmaker in the Owls’ secondary, producing interceptions and PBUs at a high rate. On a roster with several standout names, his steady performance has set him apart. His ability to control the back end of the defense makes him one of SPC 3A’s most reliable defensive backs.

**Isaiah Mills** – Few freshmen contribute immediately at the varsity level, but Mills has stepped into a significant role for one of the state’s top programs. His athleticism and playmaking ability have already made him a key offensive contributor. Continued development from Mills will give the Knights an added dimension as they prepare for a playoff run.

**Madden Morgan** – He’s back! One of the top linebackers in Texas, Morgan makes his return after missing time with injury. His presence provides a major boost to the Knights’ defense and adds both stability and physicality. How quickly he re-establishes himself will be an important storyline for the Knights as the season progresses.

**Rocky Orozco** – Taking over for a proven starter is never easy, but Orozco has handled the transition effectively for Holy Cross. Each game has added valuable experience, and he continues to show growth as a passer and leader. His development under center strengthens the Knight’s chances of competing in TAPPS D3.

**Zach Ryle** – Ryle has become a central figure for a Brook Hill team generating early-season buzz in TAPPS D2. His combination of size, athleticism, and football IQ makes him a natural difference-maker. With college-level measurables and steady production, Ryle’s continued growth could elevate the Guard into serious contention.
