๐จDream11 cancelling subscriptions isn't surprising.
Fantasy sports grew because of real-money contests.
Once that was gone, premium features alone weren't enough to convince millions of users to keep paying.
No RMG. No subscription growth. ๐

Current status ๐
PROGA Act 2025 + Rules 2026 (effective May 1, 2026) imposed a nationwide ban on online real-money gaming (RMG), including fantasy sports, poker, rummy, and similar stake-based games.
The industry faces severe financial pressure, with many operators downsizing, shutting down, or shifting to non-staking formats.
IPL 2026 viewership has declined partly because fantasy gaming apps and their user engagement are largely gone.
The main legal challenge to the ban is still pending, but there is currently no indication of a near-term comeback for legal real-money gaming in India.
