With all that is going on in the world today, conversations must begin. They must also lead to action. @Chip_Pugh, Dr. Rob Owens, and I had just that, a conversation about things on our heart. This is just a preview of what was said.
"And as Jesus reclined at table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and were reclining with Jesus and his disciples." Matt. 9:10
"Jesus dined with sinners, but he didn't sin with sinners." -Rosaria B.
May our hearts and homes be as open as the Kingdom!
Every breath we take is an extension of God's grace and mercy. What are we doing with them?
"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." 1 Corinthians 10:31
"When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:17-18
Praying for all who are affected. Our God is the God of all comfort.
The โฆ@TNTechFootballโฉ staff wants to extend our deepest prayers and sympathies to the family of Gerald Howse. He truly lived โ Faith, Family, and Footballโ. Our hearts are heavy, but I ๐ฏ know Heaven gained a great team mate today! Isaiah 40:31
The capability of the Gospel and the Holy Spirit to transform our actions, reactions, thoughts, intentions, etc. is not the question. Our willingness to allow them to do so is. How willing am I to allow the power of the Gospel and the Spirit of God to change me?
Reconciliation, without Jesus, leads to partial restoration. Fulfilled and sustained reconciliation can only come through the power of Christ. No matter the circumstance or situation, we must not seek partial reconciliation. We must seek full restoration in and through Jesus.
What a privilege it was listening to @TTU_CoachA and @Longrangebomba this morning. Great encouragement to stay connected, be a light, and don't be afraid. (Matthew 5:16 & John 15) Thank you both for letting your light shine on a daily basis.
"You can do all things, but fail. Cause You've never lost a battle." Elevation Worship- Never Lost
"God, You have never failed. You won't start with me."
Maverick City- Man of Your Word
"He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it."
Paul- 1 Thessalonians 5:24
"Belonging breeds confidence".
When we know we belong, we are more confident. In our conversations. In our job. In our sport. In our time with Jesus. A lack of belonging breeds insecurity. Do you know you belong?
"And the voice came to him again a second time, โWhat God has made clean, do not call common.โ Acts 10:15
"but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean." Acts 10:28
The only "common" thing about God is that He consistently does the uncommon.
Do we seek deep theological knowledge over deep, intimate relationship with Jesus?
Can you have both? ABSOLUTELY. But we can also have knowledge without relationship.
Relationship will breed knowledge and wisdom due to experience. Knowledge does not always breed relationship.
