@Ryoshus_ashtray I'm new and these two units brought UNFATHAMOBLE value to my golden fighter, majin buu, fusions, several teams.
The Gogeta especially is insane. Unfortunately Vegito isn't as good as I'd like but he has his moments.
@StarEaterXIII At the same time GT/Super are genuinely pretty terrible sequels and do deserve the criticism they get. Do people take the hate too far? Absolutely, but fans recognize both the pros and cons of those shows.
@StarEaterXIII You say this like fans don't just as consistently praise the best parts of those shows. Like SSJ4, SSG/UI, Beerus/Whis, the Moro arc, etc.
Naturally since your twitter your more privy to purely negative reception. But its a lot more nuanced then your original comment makes it.
@SLOplays They probably just did it for ''overhaul'' sake. It isn't necessary but they def were told to shy away from the Gekishin identity for sure.
This is basically an entirely new game so it needs a ''fresh/new'' look. Team prob thought new shaders would be enough.
@DokkanAssets Figuarts will certainly do their own version pretty soon.
So that being said this figure is an EASY skip. I lowkey think this 4.0 Whis Gi is just too late tbh when it comes to Third parties. They should of done this MUCH sooner.
@reydo_do@PotatoFilms2 I've said it a couple times but if that's the intention then sure. I can accept it. But its just another sad case of poor writing from Super's continuity.
Anyways the scene doesn't instantly mean ssj = kid boo. Based on what we know about mental training in the past.
@reydo_do@PotatoFilms2 What excuse? All I'm saying is it doesn't really make sense and is poorly written if so.
Mental training was an alternative but it simply isn't as good as real physical training. Which is what every fighter does primarily.
Therefore it can be inferred its simply better.
@reydo_do@PotatoFilms2 No, but Freezas entire presence in Super is poorly written in every aspect.
All I'm really saying is if pre-ritual SSJ Goku = Kid Boo. This is just another instance of poor writing.
Mental training wasn't as good as real training in Z.
@JRichardstm@PotatoFilms2 I doubt it, if mental training is just as effective as actual training there'd be no point to anything else.
The way its presented in is its an alternative, but its not as good as genuine training. Goku in this same episode decides to go to Kai's planet to train.
@TaariqBethea5@icantthinkuvat That's because they're aware of those Buu's capabilities. They underestimated Kid Buu/let saiyan pride get in the way of their judgement since he was unfused.
And again the Kai's consider Potara absolutely necessary. And even Goku admits it later on during his fight.
@reignvenouss@ghoulsac@icantthinkuvat That's true. I feel like noting this but the universe shattering shout Buuhan does is anime only.
He doesn't do anything remotely near this impressive in the Manga(Vegito is just vastly superior).
@Shalnark145 I believe Toriyama did intend for Kid Buu to be the strongest, he himself says this actually a couple times in interviews just months after the Manga concluded.
I think it was just poorly written/people missing a lot of subtext with Kid Buu's portrayl in the story.
@Shalnark145 The short version tbh. Manga doesn't make a direct statement, you kinda infer it and it's not clean about it. Anime makes a direct statement, whether it follows what the manga intended isn't their concern. Other material (guidebooks, video games, etc.) follow the anime.
@icantthinkuvat But at the same time the reason he destroys the earrings is directly for saiyan/warrior pride. Not necessarily because he believes he's strong enough to beat him. The Kai's even call them crazy for not fusing, which they believe is the only way to beat him at this point.
@icantthinkuvat Probably not, but he didn't know Kid Buu's full capacity here. Nobody did besides the Kai's. Pretty much everybody underestimated him till the final attack with the spirit bomb.
@ghoulsac@icantthinkuvat People use this as some sort of silver lining when it really isn't. Kid Buu has, like it or not, the most supporting evidence for being the strongest.
The story also heavily pushes that Kid Buu was underestimated/playing around literally the entire time we saw him. Till the SSB.
@graysmooth2@RazDazArt Not true, Super considers Goku the strongest openly in every piece of source material.
So within this time frame he surpassed Gohan. It also helps that Gohan doesn't train, he was 17 when the Buu arc concluded. He most certainly continued his studies and slacked off(again).
@RazDazArt Buu humbled him the entire arc. He openly admits he couldn't defeat Buu alone. It never made sense to me for Goku of all people to be confident here, especially after the entire Buu arc.
