@ScottWarner18@Walmart It’s absurd. At least let use tap to pay. No one wants to pay using their app with QR codes or whatever. Just give us tap to pay and Apple Pay and don’t hide behind the “fees are higher and we’d have to raise prices” excuse. That ain’t it.
@NealMcCready@ChaseParham@Braums_IceCream has the best burger in the fast food game. I had to drive from East TN to Phoenix and back in May. In all seriousness it was the best burger I’ve had from a fast food restaurant. Better than In-N-Out, Culver’s, Pal’s and all of the national chains.
It’s all going to end, very soon, enjoy it.
“At your funeral, your friends and family will argue over who gets what.
People will want food to eat.
The topic will shift from your life to their lives.
They’ll drive away thinking about their looming to-do list.
Some people won’t be able to make it because ‘something came up’
And we worry about…a low performing post on social media.
Or what someone “thinks of us”.
Or a bad customer review.
Or whether we’re going to finish our to do list in time.
We die like we go to sleep.
With things unsaid and unfinished.
The only judge who has complete context on our lives, dies with us.
A reminder of the heavy weight we place on things that matter little.”

@FinXRob Seems low for a DM honestly. My guess is that’s the base pay with bonuses on top of that. $100k for a store GM is about the going rate these days in the QSR world.
Usually yes. A few weeks ago our host took us to our table with rolls in hand. Sat there with my wife and we ate the rolls. 10-15 minutes go by and no one came and got our drinks or anything so we put a $10 bill on the table and left to go to another restaurant. Didn’t feel right eating them without paying.
Not complaining. They’re always on point and seemed to just be having an off day.
@McFranchisee@McDonalds I don’t think you have the McDs in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains in East TN BUT whoever the franchisee is does a great job. Incredibly consistent in all aspects.
Since the 2009 relaunch of Domino’s it’s been extremely difficult for their competitors. Yes, the 50 year recipe was changed, but there was a huge internal shift on everything from innovation, operations, and removing underperforming franchisees from the system. They’ve stuck to this, made it to #1, and increased their lead. With DPZ and the franchisees pulling the rope in the same direction it’s pretty powerful. Also important to note that Domino’s franchisees cannot have biz interest outside of Domino’s. It’s ALL they do and focus on.
It’s fascinating to watch Doyle/Curtis doing essentially the same thing at BK. Will they surpass McDonald’s? Of course not. But they can definitely solidify them as the undisputed #2.
