It’s so interesting to see how different cultures approach fandom. Perhaps this is due to the more collective culture of Japanese people and wanting to share the honor of catching something valuable with others.
Earlier today, Shohei Ohtani hit his first home run of the #WorldBaseballClassic. After the ball landed in the stands, it was then politely passed around among the fans to look at and take pictures of before being returned to the fan who caught it. This doesn’t happen in the U.S.
After Shohei Ohtani's home run in the top of the first inning, fans passed around the baseball to take pictures of the ball before returning it to the fan who caught the ball 👏
@sidyadav@circleapp To add one last thing. Circle has helped me imagine how I can connect my communities on a larger scale, and that could go a long way!
@sidyadav@circleapp In my experience with Wordpress, there is a plug-in called H5P that has a lot of interactive features. I’m also thinking of how Elementor building blocks have these features and more that can be used to build courses in some LMS’.
@sidyadav@circleapp Curious to know if the Courses roadmap might eventually have some interactive course building block features that some other LMS course builders have such as flip cards, accordions, timeline, etc? If not, wonder if anyone has developed code snippets for similar things in Cirlce.
Thanks to @loveimmigrants for putting me on to @MekdesHaddis and her new book #AJustMission. An enlightening look at Western missions from the perspective of an immigrant. Learning, growing, correcting.
African/Asian/Eastern Christian theologies and praxes aren’t the “future of Christendom.” They are the past and present example of lived out faith that produces much fruit. They’ve also been around much longer than Western/American theology.. they need to be leading us.
Have you witnessed a decrease in the use of the term “missions”? If so, what other terms are you seeing used instead? Is it important that nomenclature stay dynamic in this arena?
