@LutfurRahmanTH TH parking is charging us thousands of pounds, increasing every day, to park our car in the same place it's been legally parked for the last two years whilst they wait for paperwork. They're hurting residents during a cost of living crisis. Please help.
@matt_levine you may be amused by the charity (used morally loosely, but legally rigorously) that your technical lunch valuation is supporting.
The wikipedia article is particularly wonderful: "Some also say that TM and its movement are not a cult."
I know what people mean when they say this, but I think we should stop talking about "how to get people to pay” for local news, and start talking about “how we can make local news products people want to pay for.”
@mastersonmv WaPo says you're looking to work with partners to counter fake news in the 2020 elections - @KrzanaLtd and @PopupNews have helped counter fake news in global elections since 2017, inc. the Mexican election with https://t.co/i1ADjt9AnL - would you like to talk?
@LuntleyMark @ethicalproperty The same "low CO2 building" that's ridden roughshod over the local community, towers over existing housing, made no attempt to seek local approval or speak to the residents into whose gardens its illegally unshaded windows now overlook? That one? Fantastic.
@SofiaTSousa Surely the review of their current usefulness should come *before* you conclude we should stick more CCTV cameras up? I'm all for positive policework in Tower Hamlets, but there should be accountability before invading our citizens privacy.
“Reverend Lynn” is in fact Marina Hayter. She has played numerous roles including Peasant Woman, quizzical librarian and shocked neighbour but no vicars until her starring role as Brexit deal fan girl on #Newsnight. #BBC#BrexitAgreement
@Eurostar@railandroad If it takes you 48 hours to update your data, that's indicative of some pretty appalling back-end technology and processes, but it is legal. However, the website should say that, not claim that there is no compensation due.
@Eurostar train delayed by so long that you put everyone onto the next one back from Paris yesterday (1hr later) and you left all of your passengers standing in a queue for over an hour and a half and yet you offer *no refunds?* Why do you have a state-funded monopoly again?
@Eurostar That's not what it says @eurostar - it says "You're not eligible for compensation this time." Either that's not the problem, or your site is using dark UX patterns to get people to give up their rights and avoid your legal EU duty, as enforced by @railandroad
@donnachadelong @NUJ_LFB@KrzanaLtd @NeilMaiden Applied ML, the sorts of search problems that academic CS calls AI, classical NLP. "AI" covers them well
@donnachadelong @NUJ_LFB@KrzanaLtd @NeilMaiden Well, language is fungible. We need a word for technology that isn't pure ML but isn't just more business process automation.
