Attacking Orthodox in Arsi is attacking Amhara, and vice versa.
This short clip shows an Arsi born Oromo nationalist claiming EOTC Geez baptism names benefit Amharas.
Fact: Geez is the ancient liturgical language of the entire Orthodox Church, not Amharic and is used by Tigrayans, Oromos & others for centuries. Yet Oromo Muslims use Arabic names like Mohammed with no issue?
This double standard fuels the ‘neftegna/debtera’ narrative and targeted church burnings with killings of Orthodox Amhara civilians in Arsi.

Just received my copy of “This Was Once Your Home” by @JemalCountess
Thank you Jemal for using your lens to document the systematic Genocide, displacement, and resilience of the Amhara people. This is not just a photo book. It is a powerful record of our history and suffering that the world needs to see.

In another miraculous election tale, EBC state media claims that a woman in labor diverted the ambulance taking her to a hospital in Kemise so she could first stop at a polling station and cast her vote.
Full @ebczena report:
“Mother in Labor Casts Her Vote After Arriving at Polling Station by Ambulance
The 7th General Election is being held across Ethiopia today, beginning at 6:00 a.m. local time.
Among the notable scenes observed at polling stations nationwide were elderly citizens, pregnant women, mothers carrying their children, new mothers, and persons with disabilities who turned out in large numbers to participate in the election.
One of the most remarkable stories reported during the voting process came from Metehoro Kebele in Kemise town. While experiencing labor pains, Mrs. Sara Ahmed reportedly endured the contractions and traveled by ambulance to a polling station in order to cast her vote for the candidate she believed would best serve the country.
Explaining why she chose to vote despite being in labor, Mrs. Sara stated:
‘To preserve the country and its future generations, a government chosen by the people is necessary.’
She said she felt great happiness after casting her vote for the candidate she believed would represent her interests.
After voting, Mrs. Sara immediately departed in the same ambulance and headed to Kemise General Hospital to give birth.”

Fano forces have taken control of a polling station and all associated election materials in Qey Amba Kebele, Gishe-Rabel Woreda, located in the Shewa sub-region of Amhara Region, on Ethiopia’s election day.
According to reports, the operation was carried out by the 25th Division of the 104th Corps under the AFNM Menelik Command. The force reportedly secured the polling station and surrounding area without resistance and subsequently entered discussions with local kebele leaders and representatives.
Video footage from the area shows local officials acknowledging and confirming that the polling station had come under Fano control. Sources indicate that all election materials at the site were seized during the takeover.
The development comes amid reports of ongoing clashes and disruptions across multiple parts of Amhara Region during the June 1 election, with Fano claiming operations across 100 fronts.
As the fraudulent election of Abiy Ahmed’s Prosperity Party government is being held, Fano is achieving many victories in the battles they have launched. Many members of the Ethiopian defense forces have been killed and taken captive.

“Fano fighters reportedly seized 22 Kalashnikov rifles, one PKM machine gun, three ICOM communication radios, and 1,520 rounds of ammunition, while also capturing 10 soldiers. Sources further claimed that a large number of regime troops were killed during the operation.”
This is the first time the Deputy Prime Minister and the president of Amhara Region voted in Bahirdar since the districts they claim to represent in parliament are under Fano control.
