@danwiederer Murray and Brisker are not on this list because of injuries not talent. It’s his job to bring the players in. He can’t coach them or guarantee they stay healthy.
@SleeperBears Thienemann is better overall but I’d take McNeil-Warren b/c of DAs style. A little longer and plays a little more in the box. But Thienamen won’t be there.
@BearsShowYo Dalman is the only real loss, and that wasn’t a Poles decision. Almost the entire defense was Eberflus. Can’t rebuild the whole team in one year.
@CalebFC18 The OC is essentially Ben’s personal assistant. The position will always be a rotation of guys who will leave after 1-2 years to be a full time play caller. So I’ll put my money on Taylor. He is the closest and needed a couple years to reset after following Doug Pederson around

@Jake_B30 GMs acquire talent based on input from the coaches. It’s up to the coaches to maximize that talent and put them in position to be successfull.
@ErikLambert1 Add Grady Jarret. Post June 1. DJ reworked to stay one more year and save a little dead cap space. And all these free up cape for resigning Wright and Caleb in a couple years. Build def/non-skill players through draft now.
@ChiBearsMuse It’s easy to say “DJ was open” looking from overhead not running a play fake, first read, can I run, 4 Packers between him and DJ who was open after Cole in under 4 seconds.
@ErikLambert1 Maybe he’s listening to the new head coach and the DC who was a head coach say “this is what we need to be successful” and Poles should say “ok, I got you”. Thats a partnership.
@ErikLambert1 Daniels is not guaranteed to be as good or better than Caleb in 2025 or his career. CJ Stroud was all world in 2023. Then threw fewer yards & TDs in 2 more games, double ints and QBR dropped 13 points. 2025 is not tied to 2024.
@Chicago_NFL Would feel a lot more concerned against a qb who had played any real game action. Sewell & the rookie should be good enough. Faith in interior d-line (the only one) in run game and helping ends and blitzes get home. I see Brisker in the backfield quite a bit.
@jacobinfante24 Not paying to read the material from “sources” that don’t work there. Even if 1/2 what he said is true, Eberflus/Waldron let it happen. Thats why they aren’t there.
@PolymarketBlitz Slow down. Let him get 1 full year in the offense under his belt first.
4250 passing
28 TDs
8 ints
400 rushing yds
3 rushing tds
70% completion
Now year 2 with Rome, DJ, Colston, Burden….
