When Lavrov says Ukrainian land was always theirs, he's admitting that russia never planned to uphold the multiple agreements they signed ratifying Ukraine's 1991 borders.
It's another reminder that agreements with russia are worthless. Remember that.
Yaroslavl is burning again.
Russian authorities describe it as a drone attack on a “fuel storage facility.” Local reports speak of fire, disrupted traffic, and emergency activity across an industrial zone that includes oil refining and fuel infrastructure.
This is becoming a pattern, not an isolated strike.
Ukraine’s deep-strike campaign increasingly targets the logistics architecture that keeps Russia’s war machine moving: refineries, fuel depots, storage terminals, pipeline hubs, and transport nodes. Every successful hit forces repairs, disperses resources, complicates fuel distribution, and increases the cost of sustaining military operations.
Yaroslavl matters because it sits far from the front line and deep inside the Russian rear. Repeated attacks send the same message: distance no longer guarantees security.
For years, Russia projected war outward while much of its own strategic infrastructure remained untouched. That equation is changing.
The battlefield is no longer defined only by trenches and front-line assaults. It now stretches across supply chains, energy networks, refineries, depots, rail corridors, and industrial hubs that support the war effort.
Whether the damage proves minor or significant, the trend itself is strategically important.
Russia can replace missiles.
Russia can mobilize more troops.
But protecting thousands of kilometers of energy infrastructure from persistent long-range drone attacks is a far more difficult problem.

Reports indicate a fire broke out in Yaroslavl’s industrial zone following another drone attack, with the region hosting major oil and fuel infrastructure that has been targeted repeatedly in recent months
