sometimes i feel like im doing false memory a bit of a disservice by posting ooc clips because the show is so meticulous with setting up its visual symbolism and metaphor to hit the home run payoff at the end of every episode but fuck man the show is too good

This is one of those instances where I feel like the OP is so integral to False Memory that understanding the lyrics adds so much more emotional weight. I genuinely teared up.

the story of two kids grappling with the "endless plain" they see in their future and one choosing to believe the future them will be ok while the other is terrified of what comes next, all framed through the storytelling device of an unfinished game

not only is it some of the best direction, animation, and music use ever, but the story hit every note it needed to, i was in tears for the entire second half, everyone involved deserves endless praise

episode 5 of false memory takes the crown as my favorite so far, in 27 minutes it communicates so much through pure visuals and music that would otherwise feel insanely rushed in most shows

this entire sequence got me to tear up, what a fucking show man

some predictions for false memory ep6... it seems like the bug is firing off hollows? hollows seem heavily linked to this guy and guan chao in general and the episode is literally called "hollow"

finished endfield's liino quest, and exceptional stuff across the board. liino was really interesting with part of her being a bit of a shithead, and i loved the endmin characterization

but also why havent other stories done a "guy who just lies about pre-amnesia you" bit yet.

episode 4 of false memory was the episode i had to sit the most on so far. properly putting the pieces together of everything the episode communicated, a lot of it subtly, felt very satisfying. i do wish it was a tad longer but its not that big of a deal. we're 4 for 4!
