have a complex project or question where you aren't sure what the next action should be, or even what the target outcome is? this worksheet simplifies something that I've done organically, so it only takes a few minutes: https://t.co/iAXj2e3ekT
@jyoansah sorry about that! which service is it and what's a due date of a 2021 task that shouldn't match, but is matching?
Taco's logic for "Today" is "within about 12 hours of now" to account for time zones (some source svcs aren't TZ-aware). however, matching 2021 sounds like a bug 🙂
because "Checking tasks off a daily to-do list is not enough to make meaningful progress in life and work," I try to do a weekly review: https://t.co/DAuV7BU2QC (hat tip @ness_labs).
with this template, it doesn't take long. I use a 15 minute calendar entry that repeats weekly.
When was the last time you ate alone and didn’t consume content at the same time?
No TV, no YouTube, no book, no podcast....
For me, it’s probably been years, which is little scary. Going to try it this week.
@typewriterjason good news - it already works! point Taco at the URL to a text file (https://t.co/EJcemkTvmA), including on services like Google Drive & Dropbox. Taco doesn't parse contexts because it's not very relevant for Taco's UI. I recommend defining DONE_FILE too: https://t.co/xxbihmu35c
@etjernst@asana good news - it was fixed as of that tweet. Asana<->Taco integration should work well, including completing Asana tasks from within Taco
If you tried to use Taco with @Asana since Oct. 29, it's been broken. We're really sorry and just emailed all active affected users.
We noticed a pattern and found https://t.co/ULLMnlNade. As far as we can find, none of our Asana API email contacts rec'd email about the change🙁

The fundamental job of an entrepreneur is to take a basically infinite todo list and prioritize the few things that will most move the business forward.
Taking time off is a competitive advantage because you can step back and do this better.
@SeymourGroup@upstackhq I agree. if Taco gets rewritten it would (will?) be in React and React Native, partly for this reason 🙂 Taco's core viewer JS predates React's OSS release (and maturity + Native came a few years later)
@SeymourGroup happy to explain. two reasons:
1. the mobile-optimized Web view does everything we need it to fairly well (https://t.co/1LpVEnX4Ec)
2. we probably couldn't invest the time and learning required to have a great mobile app (let alone natively on both popular OSes)
in late December, Google will remove Gmail API access for Taco and many other apps. however, Taco supports Google Tasks, so email-specific tasks are still easy.
click "Add to Tasks" in Gmail. Taco will link directly to the original Gmail message.

@suhanjay it sure can. go through Taco's authorization process (https://t.co/TMJMV8boLO) twice and choose/login to each Asana org. note that Taco links to Asana-provided URLs, so Taco's task links may not be multi-org-friendly.
also, we just fixed this bug: https://t.co/2WsYuXagfh
@anarchivist@asana Mark, this should be fixed. I'm really sorry. I just emailed everyone affected.
After enough user errors, we noticed a pattern, Googled, and found https://t.co/ULLMnlNade. as far as we can find, none of our Asana API email contacts rec'd email about the API change🙁

we're trying to make Taco's Chrome extension available again. we didn't receive any notice that it would be removed, nor explanation why it was (we still don't know).
we'll tweet when it's back. for now, set your home page to https://t.co/aInT7c9W8I (https://t.co/bs4wSAAy34)
@ChrisChinch I'm sorry about this! The @googlechrome team removed Taco's extension (which has been working great for years) without notice, notification, or explanation why. We're trying to fix it.
