@GergelyOrosz It certainly seems like it to me. Internally messaging is all over the place for the supposed reasons for RTO, but it's clear that there's some driving force that is mandating RTO. Whether that's just S-Team being an ass or local government remains to be seen.
@P3NGU1Nr6@control402@Exo2TurnT I think for most people post-secondary education (incl. trade school) is the move. You absolutely can learn as much or more on your own, but most people don't have the motivation/accountability to dedicate the time without something like grades/teachers/etc.
@Exo2TurnT@P3NGU1Nr6 It's still useful for SWE - why take the chance on someone without a degree when there are many, many applicants with degrees? Getting a SWE role w/o a degree is 10x harder unless you already have connections or get internally promoted from a different role.
@unaverage1taps @schandrei17 @pimpwinneche They were also one of, if not the first, game to add true cross play + they added mobile insanely fast. All that made the game incredibly accessible and super easy to play with friends, regardless of platform.
@PaYaB_005@DPascaluta@ohnePixel Afaik they never said more playtime increased your chances? I'm sure they want newish people to measure player retention/engagement.
@21five_public@GergelyOrosz@VcWabKDHN9OVdYq No, exceptions have to go through the entire management chain. I expect the S team to get (and grant) exceptions to their direct reports and possibly a level below that but that the vast majority of requests will be filtered out on the skip and manager level.
@VarsityGamingTV Just bought a model o wireless and it's great so far. They're releasing a new version next week, so the current one is super discounted rn.
@AbsoluteLamp @totan_vlad @Siege_GG @KOI @KOIxENG @KantorakettiR6 Honestly though, what else is the org going to do? Confirm that he's getting dropped in the middle of a tournament? Ignore it and let rumors grow? If they were planning on dropping him there's not really a clean exit after the rumors start.
@Ash_N17@TheChowderhead I think 100T is profitable but afaik the eSports side is still a huge money sink. 100T is aggressive with brand deals/advertising/sponsors and it's probably better to think of them as a clothing company that supports an eSports org.
@Dezachu Esp where the barrier of entry is non-existent, at least on Xbox. You can remake accounts with minimal effort, so this is genuinely more of a blocker than an outright ban.
@utterfilthmate@TheChowderhead I imagine the effect will be sort of cumulative? Similar to toxicity bans or abandon sanctions where repeat offenders receive larger penalties. In this case, the duration where lag is applied would increase with each penalty.
