Se activó dos veces el Servicio de Respuesta Activa de la Demanda, a las 21:43 y a las 22:11.

No había suficiente generación disponible.

👉Otra estafa que la gente no conoce es la de pagar impuestos por plusvalías nominales en vez de reales. Si en 2026 vendes unas acciones (o una casa) que tienes desde el año 2000, y consigues una plusvalía del 80% (compraste por 100.000€ y vendes por 180.000€, por ejemplo) Hacienda te cobra un porcentaje (23% aprox en acciones), como si hubieras ganado 80.000€. Sin embargo, tu ganancia en términos reales es CERO, porque 80% es la inflación en España entre 2000 y 2026. Hacienda se lleva 18.400 EURAZOS de tu renta NETA (que ya ha pagado IRPF) en 2026. Vamos, que al Estado le interesa tener una inflación lo más alta posible y te están cobrando impuestos por una ganancia que no has tenido 🤷‍♂️

Dear @EnvAgency.

In February this year, after 4 years of asking you to look after the Aldersbrook, I led a team of volunteers to do your job for you & clean out tonnes of silt & leaves, as well as hundreds of bags of rubbish. Through the effort of community volunteers & donations, & at zero cost to the taxpayer, we turned a forgotten silted up ditch back into a river again.

Last nights intense rain storm showed why our actions are the very definition of “strengthening water resilience”. A huge amount of rain fell in a short time, but the restored section of the Aldersbrook has been able to hold 100’s of thousands of litres more water, stopping this water running into the Roding, & thereby *reducing* local flood risk. The first photograph below is of the Aldersbrook after the rains this morning- a big contrast to the area before we did the work.

Perhaps more importantly, this water, instead of running straight off into the Roding & hence the sea is now being held in the Aldersbrook & gradually released so it can be used by nature. It is feeding marshes, trees & wildlife, topping up groundwater & helping to reduce our flood/drought cycle. If you want to strengthen water resilience, we need thousands more projects like the Aldersbrook around the country.

So the question I ask you, Environment Agency, is why you are threatening me with two years imprisonment, rather than offering to meet & discuss how we can work together to restore the Roding & its tributaries, which could become a blueprint for you cooperating with local river guardians nationwide?

Just one example (bear with me):

Badgers became a protected species in Britain 40+ years ago.

The population has exploded and now frequently transmits tuberculosis to cows

But farmers can’t cull the badger population to protect their cattle because the government still considers them to be endangered

Instead of addressing the root cause, the UK has the most batshit testing regime for cattle

There’s no TB vaccine. So the cattle have to get tested. The vets administering the test have to measure welts on the cows neck. Whether a cow lives or dies comes down to a vet trying to discern 1mm on a caliper (reactive vs non reactive).

If a cow tests positive, the farm (already running on super thin margins) is quarantined and starts hemorrhaging money.

Jeremy Clarkson’s cow (pregnant with twins) has an inconclusive test so it’s separated from the herd. It receives a second inconclusive test so they have to kill it (before it can give birth to the twins).

Now here’s the kicker: the autopsy reveals no sign of TB. It was a healthy cow needlessly killed

So - silver lining the farm should be removed from quarantine, right? WRONG - it’s still under quarantine and has to keep testing and can’t sell its beef

This is the worst “strong support” I’ve ever received.

However, the malevolent uselessness of @EnvAgency is not limited to the recent incident on the Aldersbrook. Over the last 10 years I have been battling, along with hundreds of dedicated local volunteers, to protect & restore the River Roding against all the odds. The Environment Agency has not lifted a finger to help in these actions & indeed has often been a blocker to our work on the river.

Here’s some examples of the “strong support” we’ve received from the Environment Agency over the years… 🧵

Como muchos sabéis yo regento una clínica veterinaria desde hace muchos años (San Roque veterinarios). MRW ha extraviado un envío con dos muestras de biopsia de dos perros remitidas a un laboratorio de Fuengirola. No se trata de un paquete cualquiera: son muestras clínicas de dos cirugías distintas, con valor diagnóstico para pacientes reales.

Entiendo que el cliente contractual de MRW sea el laboratorio, pero como veterinario responsable de esas muestras no puedo aceptar una respuesta de “no podemos hacer nada” o abrir una reclamación (que ya está abierta) que no estoy seguro de que sirva para mucho.

Solicito a MRW una investigación seria, trazabilidad completa del envío y una respuesta formal por escrito, no solo al laboratorio donde iban dirigidas las muestras, sino también al veterinario responsable, que soy yo, y quiero estar seguro de que van a poner el cien por cien de sus capacidades para recuperar estas muestras, no me vale que las cataloguen como "extraviadas". El número de seguimiento ya no está operativo, y el expediente de reclamación es el 643746.
La vida de dos perros está en juego, y no estoy exagerando.
