It's Foster Care Fortnight, a time to celebrate the remarkable difference foster carers make to children’s lives & raise awareness of the need for new foster carers. This year's theme is The Power of Relationships and we'd love to know what you're doing to celebrate #FCF25
https://t.co/ao5v4iMdLf This is an intellectually incoherent decision from @DHSCgovuk Time & again we see myopic short term financially driven decisions that cost way more in the medium term than any short term saving achieved. @ThinkAheadMH works & should be saved

https://t.co/6a8Pf720Iv Everyday @MoJGovUK spend a fortune on advertising for probation & prison officers, @DHSCgovuk spend on recruiting adults social care staff & @educationgovuk repeatedly fund teacher recruitment campaigns. Why is recruiting foster carers never prioritised?

https://t.co/BbRIHE0B8X Great to see @Rachel_deSouza the @ChildrensComm speaking out on this, she is spot on to say the regulations favour the tech companies at the expense of children's safety
https://t.co/6a8Pf71sSX TACT's CEO on @BBCr4today calling out the failure of @JanetDaby & @educationgovuk to respond to the clear @reviewCSC call for a national foster carer recruitment campaign
https://t.co/BbRIHE03jp These new @Ofcom regulations are pitifully weak & will fail to protect children. All offending Apps should be turned off in the UK until they have demonstrably removed all harmful content, adjusted the algorithms & have a robust age verification process
https://t.co/6a8Pf71sSX Our CEO Andy Elvin appeared on @BBCr4today to discuss the crisis in foster carer capacity & highlight the failure of @educationgovuk to follow the clear @reviewCSC recommendation for a national foster carer recruitment campaign
