Let us collaboratively engage in this significant national endeavor and serve as exemplary leaders on the continent.

We successfully organized an awareness-raising forum on the Digital Ethiopia 2030 Strategy and the implementation of digital transformation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The forum was held in collaboration with the Institute of Foreign Affairs and colleagues from the Office of the Prime Minister have made insightful deliberations on the Digital Ethiopia Strategy 2030.
During the session, constructive discussions took place on the critical importance of building strong digital capacity in Ethiopia in order to remain an integral part of today’s increasingly competitive global environment. The session brought together senior officials and staff from our Ministry, the institute of Foreign Affairs and the Ethiopian Diaspora Agency.
Under the framework of our Ministry’s three-year Institutional Reform Program (2018–2020 E.C.), we have successfully implemented key digital initiatives, including: Document Management System, Smart Office system, Online document authentication and Power of Attorney services that will have considerable contribution to the realization of the Digital Ethiopia 2030 Strategy. Following our Council of Ministers meeting we visited a housing development demonstration site featuring construction that is both exceptionally modern and driven by highly accelerated technology. On this single site, three modern construction methods were simultaneously deployed: 3D printing, light steel prefabrication, and container housing. Each stands as living proof that premium-quality homes can be delivered in a matter of days and weeks, rather than months and years, demonstrating that speed and quality no longer need to be compromised when the right technology is embraced.
This caliber of innovation has the power to fundamentally alter the trajectory of our national housing program, offering a model that can easily be deployed, replicated, and scaled across every corner of the country. We have seamlessly aligned advanced technology with our national vision. Today serves as tangible proof that we are moving decisively in the right direction!

He has been a strong and sustained voice of the Global South.

As part of our industrialization journey and a major milestone in advancing the “Made in Ethiopia” initiative, the inauguration of the Grandeur Ceramic Factory constructed in Mojo town this morning stands as a practical demonstration that our movement will steadily expand across the country attracting international investments.
The factory will supply ceramic products that meet international standards of quality and competitiveness, while sourcing more than 80 percent of its raw materials locally. Beyond strengthening Ethiopia’s capacity to harness its own natural resources and potential, this achievement will significantly reduce dependence on imported goods.
