Burger King is launching an all-you-can-eat burger challenge in Japan
Participants get 45 minutes to eat unlimited four-patty burgers, fries, and drinks
incidentally i was one of maybe 5 women in the entire screening for disclosure day and checking these… 64% male ticket purchasers so far… come on ladies let’s get those numbers up
(now to be fair this doesn’t account for guys buying tickets to take their gfs, wives, daughters, sisters, etc. to the movies which is quite common but still)
DISCLOSURE DAY by Steven Spielberg is now certified fresh with 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.
It’s on track for a $75M-$85M opening weekend at the global box office on a budget of only $115M.
One of the best global debuts for a fully original film this decade.
feels like a return to form for spielberg. a more cerebral and almost hard sci-fi summer movie. but it was nice to go in with as little context as possible and so that is all i will say. it was worth the time and viewing.
at this point if DISCLOSURE DAY turned out to be an instance of predictive programming i’d just laugh. this reality has long become surreal (to put it kindly) so yeah why not. let’s do it.
this thread brought to you by seeing europeans touring my hometown (in the lead up to the world cup) and marvelling at our representative culinary delights, such as waffle house
one of the most insignificant but worst aspects of living in a lot of different places is, in addition to there always be someone or some place to miss, there is also some food/drink to miss, too, and it tends to becomes the standard bearer for all food of that type
this is also what has motivated me in learning how to cook a variety of cuisines because no matter where you are in the world, some things are just not going to be the same as the origin, or your hometown, or college town, or wherever the gold standard is for you
