I need to get this off my chest I’m so sick of the hatred, and I don’t give a fuck if people come at me for saying this. Why are y'all acting like he committed some horrific crime? You’re throwing homophobic, racial and ableist slurs at him,and even sending death threats. Is THIS how you think you educate someone? What they did may have been wrong or culturally insensitive, and people absolutely have the right to call it out. But was he being racist? NO. There’s a huge difference between someone unknowingly doing something disrespectful because they don’t understand its cultural significance and someone deliberately mocking a culture. If you want to educate someone, explain WHY it was inappropriate instead of resorting to slurs, harassment, and death threats. y'all ain't fucking saints you ppl openly make disgusting racist, homophobic, and transphobic, xenophobic comments toward thai people and proudly post them online. Indian celebs have also said and done far worse problematic shits. Yet somehow two boys doing a few dance moves is being treated like an unforgivable attack on Indian culture. GO EDUCATE THEM TOO. You cannot demand respect while showing none yourself. Call out what was wrong. Explain why it was wrong. Educate them. But learn the fucking difference between accountability and harassment. You don’t get to threaten and dehumanize someone over something they clearly don't know about and then claim the moral high ground. And don’t fucking come at me with “asslicker” just because I refuse to support this kind of harassment. I’m not stopping anyone you have every right to explain what they did wrong and why it was offensive. But this is NOT how you educate someone. I hope the people making threats and hateful comments are held accountable for their own behavior, because demanding respect while showing absolutely no respect for anyone else is fucking hypocritical. And to the person who started all of this: I hope you’re happy now. Look at what you’ve fucking caused.
