A3: It is important as a teacher to let them know that the classroom is a safe place. No matter what is going on outside of the room, an educator should make their environment safe and open to the best of their ability. I would love some advice tho (future teacher)

I am not sure how exactly how it has affected your school, but after my interview I became well aware that the mere threat of ICE is enough to create an atmosphere of fear. Who can properly learn when they have so many bigger issues at hand?

USCRI is a national organization designed to help immigrants and refugees transition to life here: Preparing them for future jobs, citizenship preparation, and even take English classes!

A1: I honestly do not know much about ICE in our community! I did an interview with the organization USCRI last semester, and became a bit more aware on the immigrant community here in Raleigh, but I am interested to learn more on this subject.
