On This Day back in 1996, Michael Johnson delivered one of the greatest performances in track & field history.
At the Atlanta Olympics, he stormed to a 19.32s world record, smashing his own previous mark of 19.66s with an incredible drop of 0.34 seconds. The time also stood as the world record for nearly 12 years.
Even 30 years later, 19.32 remains one of the most iconic races ever witnessed. ⚡
